Change...It's Time

Everyone has one in their house or office. Everyone dreads when they have to go there. Everyone knows the day will come when they have to clean out their "JUNK" closet/drawer. You know the one you throw stuff in all the time. The old stuff you really don't need or use anymore but just refuse to give it up because you feel one day I'll need that. Clothes you can't fit. Broken objects. Pairs with no partner in sight. Twisted and tangled metals. Faded love letters of the past. The musky stench of oldness and dusk surrounding every inch. Yet, you lack the determination or motivation to clean out that space until....you have to move then you really have to deal with the contents of YOUR junk space. Moving has never been easy but having to sort through the disaster zone that awaits you is tedious and treacherous. This space is usually the very last area you tackle. Though it's hard, it is needed in every way before you make the move to your next destination. Time to clean out those childhood pains, hurts, and wounds. Those misfortunes and defeats. Erroneous words spoken over your life. Failed ventures and relationships. Change. It's hard. It's daunting. It's scary. It's challenging....but it's needed for Growth.

As I begin, the process of opening my closet door to clear this last space before my destiny, I pray you will begin your own cleaning process as well.

P.I.N.G!!!

  1. DING DING DING!!! That is the "you are soooo right" buzzer! The metaphor is on point! I have cleaned my closet. Literally and figuratively. However, that junk drawer still haunts me. lol
But once I'm tired of cleaning (being hurt) then I'll make the change. We don't make the change til we have truly had enough!!! Hit rock bottom! Tired of the crying (cleaning), tired of people asking you why are you holding on to him/her (the things in the drawer). When will you take control of your life (clean up the mess) and put your life back together again (regain order to your house). They say your house represents your mental state. And for once in my life...my life (house) is clutter free!! Except for that darn junk drawer!! Loved this!! Thanks for sharing!!
