I Dream in Color

I will be musing on some of my recent thoughts of things I see around me. Please take what you will from it.

*Convo of me telling a friend about a dream I had*

me: and he had on a blue shirt with...

friend: how do you know the shirt was blue? do you dream in color?

me: yeah, don't you?

friend: no.

me: hmm...I've always dreamed in color and assumed everyone else did as well.

Stay with me I'm going somewhere with this...

My daily observations on my commute into the "big" city for work:

There's this man who has a cage on the back of his truck who goes to the local atm each day at the same time without fail. (I often wonder if he is getting money or checking his account because he doesn't trust someone in his camp but I digress...). He then goes down the main street to get on the highway when there is a quicker turn that could easily get him on the highway. I suppose he sees the logic in his actions though I don't get it. Odd to me but makes perfect sense to him.

There's the man who walks the length of the main highway into the city each day rain or shine, hot or cold. He yells and points at people as they pass by him. Sometimes, I wonder if he comes out for "show" or if he actually walks each morning for the exercise and his health. Does he long for attention? Is he fulfilled by his actions?

Then, there's the red Metro with rims at the local Bell that sells tacos (you do the math,no advertising here...lol). Always there without fail each morning before 7:30am. I've never worked in fast food (quite frankly never really had a desire to do so) but I've always been under the assumption schedules changed on a regular basis but here this person always has the same schedule. How long have they worked here? Will they ever leave?

Then, there's me who leaves home about the same time each day headed to the same place wondering if this will be my routine and for how long? I squarely believe I'm not suppose to have a schedule (probably why I savor sleeping in on weekends..lol). Someday, I'm suppose to create my own schedule because I'll have my own. I believe it is God's will for my life.

And that's the routine of it all...but not for long because I dream in color. Do you?

Enjoy...P.I.N.G!!!

  2. Long as we keep putting one foot in front of the other, working towards our goal, we can make our dreams become reality. The key is to not get complacent in our current situation...dreaming keeps us moving. Love your style
