Where is you STING?

"Sticks & Stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me"...lie you tell, lol. This simple statement has caused more people to walk in denial with major complexities about who they are in life. "Fat" & "Ugly" were two words that held me in bondage for years. Supposedly in jest, these were harsh words to hear as a kid by other relatives and slowly they diminished my self-esteem each time they were uttered. Though when I heard them recently that same sting did not resonate with me. Could it be I know who I am now? More importantly, I know Whose I am now, so death's sting can no longer harm me. Maybe your words were poor,stupid,dumb, lazy,skinny, or nerd(got that one too). However, when you understand who you really are in Christ nothing can sway you to believe otherwise. He has completed each of us in Him. So I emphatically say (with boisterous laughter), "death, where is your sting?"

**Sidenote: If you interact with kids in anyway (your kids,nieces,nephews,etc.), be careful of the words you say to them because your words shape their future. Always stride to say affirming words to them even when they error. Uplift & encourage at all costs.
